Design with purpose

We begin by understanding the story, the wearer, and the practical details the ring needs to live with. The design is refined until the lines feel effortless.

Build the form

The setting and band are developed with attention to scale, balance, and wearability. Every edge and curve has a job: to support the stone or make the ring more comfortable.

Set and finish

The diamond is secured with precision, then the metal is polished and finished by hand. The final checks look at symmetry, surface, setting security, and overall feel.

Make it ready for life

Before a ring leaves the atelier, it is inspected as a piece to be worn often—not only admired. That means checking the details that matter months and years from now.

Translate a reference into a specification

A reference image communicates a mood, but a workable ring brief needs dimensions, stone shape, metal and finger size. Note which features are essential and which are open to interpretation. This helps the design conversation remain focused.

Ask how the proposed band width, setting height and stone dimensions work together. Some combinations require adjustment to support the stone or make the ring comfortable. Review any such change before approving the specification.

Understand what a design preview can show

A digital model or render can help explain the geometry, especially the side profile and space beneath the centre stone. Look at the shoulders, gallery and wedding-band clearance rather than focusing only on surface shine.

Rendered lighting and magnification can differ from real wear. Use the written dimensions to understand scale and ask for clarification when a detail is hard to judge. Keep the approved version so everyone is referring to the same design.

From metal form to stone setting

Jewellery can involve casting, fabrication or a combination of techniques depending on the design. The metal form needs preparation and finishing before the stone is secured. The appropriate method depends on the construction and should be confirmed for the particular piece.

Setting requires support that suits the stone’s outline and dimensions. Corners, pointed tips and small accent stones each need appropriate treatment. A visually delicate result still needs enough material where it performs a structural job.

What to review when your ring arrives

Compare the delivered piece with the agreed specification and documents. Check the ring size, metal description and stone information, then look at the overall finish under ordinary light. Contact the team promptly if a detail differs from what was agreed.

Wear it gently while assessing comfort; do not force a tight ring or bend a setting yourself. Keep the documentation and read the care guidance before introducing the piece into your everyday routine.

Your checklist

  • Agree stone, metal, size and dimensions.
  • Review the latest design from more than one angle.
  • Confirm manufacturing and delivery expectations.
  • Match the delivered piece to its specification.
  • Keep records and care instructions.

Common questions

Can I change a design after approval?

Ask the team as soon as possible. Feasibility, cost and timing depend on how far the particular order has progressed.

Is a render a photograph of my finished ring?

No. It is a visual representation of the proposed design. Materials, lighting and scale can appear different in person.

How long does crafting take?

Request an estimate for your specific order. Design complexity, stone availability and any revisions affect timing; do not assume a universal turnaround.
